100 year vision

Air Water Land has extensive experience working with Cascade Land Conservancy on multi-county community visions. We work hard to understand different sectors of the community and create a vision for how a county can grow in a sustainable fashion. The process is powerful in bringing community opinion to decision makers, and giving decision makers the power to respond to their constituents. This process can be incredibly helpful in educating citizens about the tools that are available to help counties control growth.

Climate Plans & Carbon offsets

Progressive companies and governments who are concerned about their effects on global warming come to Air Water Land to put together plans to educate and offset their carbon footprint. We work with strategic partners to review your carbon footprint and offer recommendations on changes that can save you money and resources. We can even offer you an opportunities to certify your company as carbon neutral.

Complex environmental problem solving

Air Water Land specializes in solving the most difficult problems in the environmental field. We understand that the easy regional projects have been done over the last 25 years. Today consultants must be prepared to work on multi-party and multi-jurisdictional projects. We are very comfortable working under non-disclosure agreements on projects that have significant risk and reward.

Conservation transactions

Air Water Land has a solid background in conservation transactions. While working for the Cascade Land Conservancy, Ryan Dicks played a role in conserving over 105,000 acres in the Puget Sound region with a conservation value well over $60 million dollars. Air Water Land is prepared to help clients with conservation transactions that are good for the region and good for the bottom line.

Land use policy and public affairs

At Air Water Land, we forge strong partnerships with legislators and local governments to find better ways to control growth and save habitat. We believe that new technologies will change the way we grow as a region, and keeping development on the smallest footprint is generally the best solution.

Mitigation and conservation banking

Air Water Land believes that offsite mitigation is the wave of the future. Focusing our mitigation dollars on local projects that have high benefit to wildlife is incredibly important to saving Puget Sound and giving local governments new resources to face the challenges of growth. Working with strategic partners Air Water Land will help you tackle the biggest problems in the complicated world of mitigation.

Open space and agricultural bond measures

In extreme situations the only way to solve major land use problems is with an open space/agricultural bond measure. Air Water Land will work with local governments, pollsters, non-profits and other partners to structure a successful bond campaign.

Transfer of development rights

A market for the transfer of development rights is emerging in Washington state. The companies that understand it can have a strategic advantage in the future of development. Air Water Land can help you understand the market and show you the potential opportunities that exist today.
